which is easier and how much easier if i go with an SR20DET its gonna be form an s15 which has the same hp rateing so my question is is the RB gonna be alot harder? or are they gonna be about the same? well the s15 engine be any harder the lets stay the normal s14 engine?

i think that it's just a misrating in the hp.. the fly horsepower is probably much greater with the rb25det as it is in the rb 26dett. in the 26's case it is understandable because i thought japan used to have a tax cut for cars with engines that had under a certain hp.. anyone of you japan dwellers know if this is true? either way it makes sence.. explains why the same vg30dett in japan makes 30 less hp just underratting, not drivetrain efficiency..

well they have hp limits in japan i believe a car maker cant make their car have mor then like 280 hp i believe so they rate them at 280hp and sell them but after you buy it you can add all teh hp you want i believe its just it cant come from the factory with that much hp i could be wrong though

Its more like a gentlemen's agreement. In Germany the have something similar. No german production car is "supposed to" go over 155mph out of the box. However, Porsche refuses to agree to this and by consequence Ruf also.

just fyi, what your'e calling fwhp (which i'm assuming is flywheel horsepower) is actually called BHP or brake horsepower.

sr swap with the right mods can do 455 to the wheels on pump gas at 18 pounds.

rb25 probably can also but will be many times more expensive.and heavier.and less avialability for parts in usa.
