ok i was wondering when i turn my boost controller off and let the wastegate regulate boost it shouldnt hurt anything right?I didnt know if it would hurt the engine know that it has a boost controller wired in but its not serving a purpose untill i turn it back on so its just passing through the solinoid.thanks

I can't see how it would hurt it. You are talking about an external wastegate, right? It should just boost the minimum amount for whatever spring you have all the time.

all i have is the stock rb25det setup i havent changed anything.i guess really my question is since its turned off will it spike above what it can handle thus damaging the turbo or will it max out at 7psi or will it do what ever?i just have it ran from a vac source to the actuator.thanks

It'll just boost stock like that. Make sure it is hooked up to vacuum though, or it'll boost to the sky.

I have my waste gate line run to my intake manifold and itll hold at about 12psi. I thought it should be like 5-7 but its defiantly higher than that. It runs good like that though.

I have mine running from a i/c pipe and i am only running 5.5 you should be fine running it off just the wastegate accuator
