Complexity is the main thing. And trying to find a local AEM EMS tuner may be difficult, and waiting for the proper numbers and maps online may take a while. I would DIE for an AEM, but I am just going to have to go with the Power FC.dekand wrote:he could do it with the power fc but if the aem is only a few hundred more (which the price range i heard) than why not, its got way more features...
Well, I would definitely wait on the AEM if you got the time. It has SO MANY MORE tuning aspects to it, it dwarfs the Power FC. I am just the plug and play type, so I am sticking with the time tested proven Power FC.Wykid 240 wrote:No, that's the set-up I'm getting. . . have some of it but not all. Waiting on the AEM, not know if I'm going to get the PFC.
Hmmm, that I did not know. I thought you had to wire the sucker up and set up all the maps and numbers for it, kinda like a Haltech setup. Well, danm it, that makes me want to buy one now when they come out. Thanks Dekand...dekand wrote:i have no problem with you stickin with the power fc, its great, but what do you mean by "plug and play type" ... the aem will be plug and play in all aspects ... as far as i know they are direct ecu replacements no wiring required... at least thats what it says on the site...
Do you have a link for them?DETurbine wrote:Precision SC61 76trim T3......pretty much a T61, but has a little better flow and spools a hell of allot quicker. (with the T3 setup you will make about 630hp)...even though every shop claims 680hp, they are wrong...that is with the T4 setup.
If you are pushing 400-450hp, you might want to think about getting a thicker head gasket and ARP head studs. There are those that have done it without, but that doesn't mean everyone will be able to get away with it.
