okay so i got my engine in last friday and i kinda ran into this snag....

SO im getting a flange made up today to use as a spacer, but i still think even with the flange it will still rub, and removing the engine isnt much of an option at the moment. Do you guys have any other ideas to make it stop from rubbing?Jan

I cant tell if thats an rb20/25 or an rb26. if its the 26, the stock downpipe wont fit.if its the 20/25, you will prolly need to make a new elbow

yea this is quite possibly the most common problem with a 25 into a s14 when using the r33 crossmember. you've never seen or heard of this problem before?

id have a new 1 piece o2 housing/downpipe made, thats the best route. 3" baby

i havent been around much lately, i like the idea of 3' back, but i just called some local muffler shops and they wont even touch it.... so i think ill go with half inch spacers, maybe 2?and its an rb25

You can always take a dremel to the DP and grind part of it off to clear the steering shaft, Thats what my friend did.
