What is a ball park figure on what the RB25 transmission can handle? I've heard somewhere around 700hp. What are some other options for transmissions if someone wanted to go beyond that? What will the gtr awd transmission hold?

RB26/RB25/Z32 trannies all have the same internals (sans AWD stuff). They are all the same strength, but obviously a 2wd car can handle more power due to a lack of traction.

I shredded 3rd gear with my RB25 transmission with a bit over 600hp at the motor on just drag radials, but my buddy is making around 700 and he hasn't blow up yet (knock on wood). I have a tripple plate though, and he has a slipping twin, so I bet that factors in.

OS Giken, or custom machined gears.

If all the RB26/RB25/Z32 trannys have the same internals, does that mean we can mix and match/ swap over gears? I heard someone say that the neo rb25det transmission is stronger than the non neo.

yes the z32 gtr and 25 trannys have the same gear sets, the shaft length is different, but all gear sets r able to be swapped
