Hey guys i have a rb25 trans on my rb26 and the damn snap ring will not keep the shifter assembly where it should be. Does anyone know the size of this thing so i can grab another one before i pull it off?

On the two shifters I have (rb20det, and z31 turbo) there is a upper ring that sits above the snap ring to retain everything. The snap ring doesn't sit in the groove. I have a spare one if someone needs it, or you could swipe one out of an old ka shifter or something.

mine has a grove that the ring sits in, but the assembly will slide out the inside of the snap ring. this doesnt really help much...

There are two snap rings in that diagram, you are missing one of them. One has holes for snap ring pliers and the other has angle cut ends so it can be pried out.

It sits under the angle ring one. It's not a tight fit at all really.
