RB25 transmission Swap

Well i recently blew my rb20 so im buying a rb25 with an a/t. I am wondering if my 20 transmission will bolt up to the 25 or will i need the 25 bell housing? RB gurus please let me know so i can drive again. ThanksRobert

Bell housing bolt pattern is the same.

Clutch slave cylinder, trans mount, tailshaft and speedo drive are all different.

i already have all those parts on the rb20 transmission, so they wont work with the 25?

it will work; just bolt up the rb25 motor and wire it up.

transfer the flywheel, clutch over. you need to get a new pilot bushing, sicne the rb25 was auto.

out put shaft for the drive shaft will be diff tho, good luck w the swap

If he had a rb20 in already and is just replacing the engine with a rb25 and reusing the rb20 transmission he can just reuse the drive shaft he had.

^ that is what i thought, so all ill need is a pilot bearing?

basically everything from the flywheel back can be reuse.
