I put about 3 quarts of Castrol synthetic 75w-90 and let it sit for awhile, and drove it for about 30 minutes, to clean alot of the junk out since it had sat so long, and then i opened up the fill PLUG on the side of the transmission and let it open up to level off and let it drain from the fill plug till it stopped. The transmission is a bit too noisy, so i think im going to stick some 80-85ishw in there.gomer23 wrote:How much transmission fluid is needed for the RB25 transmission. Also I was planning on getting Redline Light Shockproof...is the way to go? I was gonna get that for my diff and transmission.
, im running the lightweight shockproof in my 20 trans now and i think its too thick.Carl H wrote:i run redline mt90 in my trans and it works a treat.i think the rb25 trans holds a bit under 3 qts of the stuff...

i'm using the redline shockproof in the diff and mt-90 in the transmission. i recommend redline transmission fluid if you guys play rough on your transmission.RB20DETodd wrote: , im running the lightweight shockproof in my 20 trans now and i think its too thick.
