Hey guys, i am redoing my entire wiring harness and i ran into a small problem. Here goes, i have a series 2 rb25det engine harness, and i changing to top feed injectors and low impedence ( i am using a gtr resistor) well first problem is with my changing to top feed i have to change the plugs. On the sidefeed its clearly obvious which one is power and which one is ground. One is thicker and gray thats the same on all inj (ground) and th eother has a single silver dot and is thinner (power) now for the top feed plugs (which were cut from a rb26 harness) the two wires look to be same gauge, so i am not sure which one is power and which one is ground, and on top of that they all have differant colors, the only identifying mark is one has a single silver dot and the other has two silver dots, i assume liek the side feed rb25 the single dot is power ? or maybe if i had a way to orientate the rb26 plug i could know like if plug is facing me the right one is power and the other one is ground. Now i am at my second problem.... I am also wiringing a resistor
in. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums ... o+series+2 this website shows how to do it, and i noticed something just now... that he cut the single dot wire and that that goes to the resistor, so i kinda answered my own question but i will take any input. now back to my question. i know from the resistor there are 7 wires, 1 12v power and the rest are pwr to injector, does it matter which wire from resistor goes to any injector it does it not matter, since stock ecu is sequential firing i would think it matters but idk... i just found out they are not cyclinder specific on the resiistor, so thats good. but i am back to main question of changing plugs. ( i did not delete the updates i got when i made this post because it might be helpful to someone reading this in future)

just look at a 26 wiring diagram and compare it to the 25. the resistor goes on the power side of the injectors. to figure out which is the power side, it's the side that doesn't trace back to the ECU.

it doesn't matter which injector you wire to which resistor, as long as the one important pin on the resistor pack is going to your 12v. the remaining 6 can go to any injector. it's just a big pack of 6 resistors.

StricNyne - The thick gray wire to each would be power on the injectors not ground. The ECU controls the open duration for each injector by grounding the thinner gauge wire. And like Gawdzilla said, the resistor pack is between the 12V power source and the top feed injectors.

like 8 years hahah, i had it running awesome at tail of dragon, but it was on a rb26 harness, its fully built rb25 with 26 crank and a bore with hx35 and meth and 1000cc inj. its sooo fun to drive, but than i hit a dear, i redid front end with help from friends, and just wiring remains before i can drive it again, i did some ign upgrades, just need to do wiper wiring and wiring for the inj and it will be driveable again. i am still in army and i goto school full time so a lot of my time goes there and slows me down a lot. but hopefully my december it will be dirving on road again, and i just need to secure a hood for it. I got it in a kouki too, i did all jdm aero, susp upgrades, no rims yet though :(

Camp Zama? Buckner? Which service? Zama is up in mainland near Yokohama. Pretty good area IMHO.

Ironically I have heard it's Air Force personnel on Camp Zama (Army) and Army personnel on Ft Buckner (USMC on Okinawa.) Get registered on zeroyon.com and ask FDokinawa. He's the expert on that stuff and knows a lot of people.
