I thought I'd share what I found today with those of you who may end up needing a new CAS someday.

300zx PN: SU4089 does indeed work with no modifications, however, there is a small difference. The trigger wheel alignment in regard to the cas key is different. As seen in the photo, its nearly 180* different. Perhaps the 1* and 120* pins need to be swapped in order to run the same key alignment as the rb25 cas, but since my cam has no key and is broken off, Im able to spin the cas axle to where it needs to be in order for the car to run.

All in all, it was plug and play, just the cas key alignment is different. The car runs great.

You can see the key blocker on the new cas is on top, while the key blocker on the 25 cas is on the bottom left with the trigger wheels more or less in the same position in regard to the sensor.

There should be a punch pin on the side of the keyed star sockets. Are the pin holes in a different spot? If so, wouldn't it be just a simple swap by just punching out a pin on both old and new cas, then install the RB star socket on the VG cas? Do you have any additional pictures of side angles to show the punch pin angles in relation to the key location?
