Hey all.

The Rbambler is getting a few mods and a more aggressive tune this spring.....I just looked at my tune in megasquirt and it seems like I am being extremely gentle on timing.

It is all stock less the intake and a turbo.... I plan on doing a full build after this season but for now I want to lean on it a bit.

From what I have read and seen guys are running up to 30 degrees of timing at WOT. My current tune has me at 20 degrees at 7000rpm.... Is this being gentle?

My tuner is awesome and dyno time is free but he does a lot of domestic stuff and rarely dables into import stuff. Just looking for a ruff number that I can take it to and watch for knock...LOL!

When I first got the car going I just wanted a safe and reliable tune which is what I have but if I am WAY gentle on timing then now is the time to let it eat.

Thanks NICO!

30* on a stock 25 sounds like a rod thru the block or blown pistons.
20* sounds about right depending on setup.

if you're worried about knock, build a set of DET cans...plenty of instructions online on how to do it.
