RB25 Timing Belt Cover Removal

My timing belt squeeks at idle so i wanna get in to the tensioner and guide. My question is, Do i need to pull the crank pulley off to remove the lower timing belt cover? I cant remember if the lower cover is able to come out from behind the pulley.

im about to do a replacement. what size bolt/grade for the tensioner?
