Hi all, new to forums and new owner of a S13 w/ RB25DET swap- I have been searching and searching for a similar problem and cannot find it. Below is my issue, please let me know what everyone thinks!

car floods out at start across all cylinders, have to pull fuel pump fuse, crank it until it starts, flutter throttle until it almost runs out of gas, and quickly put fuse back in then it idles great- no skips, ect. drives fine until you spool up turbo, then it skips and misses under boost like its starving for fuel- pulled plugs, carbon buildup around outside and chalky white centers- oil being washed out from flooding, compression down from no oil staying on cylinder walls - 4 cyl at around 100 and 2 cylinders at around 90

had someone tell me it needs a complete new wiring harness built, but I cant get my head around that being the issue- also has air pressure in fuel tank when I removed cap-

let the theories fly- I want to see this cars real potential!

ANOTHER QUESTION- PULLED FUEL RAIL OFF AND FLIPPED OVER, CRANKED CAR AND ALL 6 INJECTORS SPRAY SIMULTANEOUSLY AT A STEADY PULSE- sorry for caps lock- anyway- is that normal on these or is it suppose to be individual cylinders based on timing?

Did you notice if they are leaking?

no leaks viewed- when you crank car, all 6 injectors pulse at the same time at about 1.5 sec. interval

update- pulled CAS off and rotated by hand, began rotating, and all 6 pulsed a large spray together, fuse panel clicked and heard fuel pump whine, then fuse panel clicked again, fuel pump shut off, and as I rotated it, injectors sprayed small amount individually as supposed too, then I stopped rotating, let fuel pump shut off, started rotation again and large sprays from all 6 again....wth? slowed rotation, heard click, then started light pulsing as supposed too, did this several times- no rhyme or reason- is it wiring, ecu or cas or everything???

by any chance u know who may have done the wiring? the wiring is a possibility but im betting on the ecu,, if the owner did the wiring, he could shorted the ecu causing it to work improperly... and ur cas seem to be working, find someone that has a ecu n swith it out to see if that solves the problem that will ruled that out..

Also having same problem with my rb, did you figure it out? mine will only run with timing completely advanced and runs great but will flood itself on startups.checked injector pulse and its normal.new ecu, pump, maf, wiring harness.also has one code its the engine coolant temp sensor, i was told that could be it or the cas.

This will happen if something isn't grounded properly, this same issue happened on a 300zx when the ptu wasn't grounded, all coil packs fire at the same time. And another member had all injectors firing at the same time, check all grounds. If it looks good pull out the meter and check all components to make sure they're all good.

And to the other guy, when you say advanced.... What degree are you running?

When the motor turns over for the first time or you spin the cas by hand, all injectors will fire simultaneously for a second or so and then will fire individually. The reason for this is to add a little bit of extra fuel at startup. So this is completely normal.

You need to go back to basics first: Check for boost/vacuum leaks, fuel pressure, Set CAS to about center, this should be put timing around 15deg (dont worry about setting timing until motor is running ok).
Also do all your spark plugs look the same or are some dirtier than others. Did you check to see if the ecu is throwing any codes?
