Ive done some research on the subject and one thing I haven't been able to come up with is can I use the VG30 transmission with the 25? I mean if all I have to do is (basically) bolt up the motor to the transmission I avoid fitment issues and fab'd cross members with the 25 transmission...right? I dont plan on doing the swap myself but rather a guy here in the dallas area that has alot of experience w/ nissan motors. I just want to have all my ducks in a row so that way my car has minimal downtime...any and all advice or tips is helpful. thank you

Right, although I'm not sure if that's for the 25 or the 26 or both (same?). I haven't gotten to deep into it since I love my VG.

This is gonna get 'spensive having someone do all the work. Takes a lot of custom work for it work in the Z32 chassis. Keep us updated on the progress.

That being said, a friend back in PHX was going to do a rb25 swap, but abandoned it because how hard it was to find parts for the RB25, 26 he could find all day, but the 25 was tougher. He has tons of connections, and still had issues, even owns his own shop where he specifically works on Z's. He would be the one to talk to about the swap with the RB25, look up zdreams on projectz32.com.

Yeah I know it's gunna get costly I'm budgeting 5-7k for it...however my backup is to do a sr swap maybe...idk 25s are pretty common around here and like unsaid the guy that will most likely be doing the swap knows everything there is to know about nissans...so I'm hoping it won't get to bad...

5-7K will very likely NOT be enough a quality NA to TT swap will easily run you that and its a direct drop in.

That 5-7 is just for the labor...I already have the motor and have been slowly rebuilding it over time. the guy im going to charges about 5500 for a 25 into a 240...and thats with motor...so i figure that was a decent starting point. Plus Cash money up front talks and talks well...

yeah...hopefully lol...but ill keep everyone updated..gunna send my VG in to be rebuilt and so that way it should fix the low compression in cylinder #2 and gimmie time to save for the swap...and so i can maybe sell it or drop it in a 240 shell once the swap is complete...
