its one sick swap man. but be prepared for some custom work, lots of members here have been running into problems with fitment, ie. oil pan sits on sway bar, hood doesnt close, the usdm driveshaft doesnt fit. But if u search around and read up in the rb forums many of these problems have been solved with custom mounts or using the crossmember from the r33 and r32

RB25 isn't too bad. RB26 is VERY involved.

If you are going for best Qmile times, go RB. If you want to hang in the curves, go SR.

just my 2cents

With the mckinney motorsports RB25 mount kit the RB25 is drop in, id doesn't effect handling they way people assume it does. The motor does weight more but not any 150lbs more than the KA. The Mckinney mount set also makes the RB sit low and farther back for bettter weight distribution (with no modification needed to the chassi or swaybar/oilpan).

just make sure you know that like everyone says, you will need a lot of custom work done (driveshaft, the electrical to mechanical speedo, etc.) How fast do you want to spend?

that has absolutely nothing to do with anything what so ever.

Ever see the jms rb20s13? a typical rb not the 26 weighs about 50 lbs max over a ka. take the battery throw it in the trunk. remove the following: front bumper,ac dryer,ac condesor, charcoal can, old mechanical fan,ac lines, battery tray, window washer bottle,ac fan. and also if it's a s13 if you do a silvia convertion that will lose 27lbs also.another thing if you use mounts IE -UH- or mckinney the motor will sit lower and back which also helps weight dist.

i hear this weight dist. bs agument all the time. and even from people who pull the whole interior and that can mess up front to back weight but it doesn't matter.

also get a car corner balanced.

I am well aware of the steps that are to be taken in the instillation of the motor that has been worked out i have no problem with at all....and as far as who ever said that im looking for quatermile or drifting....im not sure if you ever see this but ive seen skylines drifting also......the weight diff... can be worked out.....im not worried and i will be turning this car into more of a highway beast .......im looking for higher horspower with out totaly pushing the limits on the sr20 so thats why i chose the rb swap
