Finally finished my S1 RB25 swap, and the damn thing wont start.

-Fuel lines hooked up correctly-Getting fuel, gauge reads good fuel pressure.-Hanress is from what I can tell wired correctly, it was done by syko performance.-Turned CAS by hand and injectors did fire.-Everything has power, interior lights, gauges, fuel pump, Power Fc.- Car cranks, and cranks, and cranks and never even sputters or attempts to start.

Seems to me like it isnt sparking, I tried to the spark plug to a ground and got nothing, not even a hint of a spark.

NOW, could it be that I need to ground the block better, I only have one externa lground wire coming off my intake mani because I havent made up my ground kit yet. Could this prevent it from sparking, or starting? Im hoping it is somethign like this and my igniter isnt bad or something like this.

Quick pic of how she sits as of tonight.

Get that grounded, and then once you do that, check your timing, and make sure the CAS is also in the correct spot.

Look at the Two marks on the cam gears and make sure the little dots are lining up perfectly with the two white lines on the dust cover behind the gears and that the crank pulley is lined up at 0 degrees top dead center in unison with the cam gears. If the CAS is off it wont turn over, or it either will and then instantly die.

sounds like you're on the right track..

double check your wiring or send it back to the shop that did it.. you should see spark when you rotate the CAS (assuming your grounded the plugs properly)

problem with making sure about the cas is that I completel yre-assembled my head, how do iknow if it is in the right position?

Cam marks and crank puller marks are all o nthe money, I put the engine together with all new parts and triple check this before install.

that doesnt matter too much for now. just center it as best you can... the motor needs to run for you to check timing and it won't diesel to life without any spark.

once you get it started and since you mentioned you have pfc, match the pfc timing reading to whatever you're seeing on the timing gun by rotating the cas while the car is on and you're done. no need to even bring it to the base timing by unplugging stuff.

Maybe the reason I didnt see spark when I tried ot ground the plug to the engine is becuase the block isnt grounded good? i dont know why I think its a grounding problem, guess Im hoping its such an easy solution.

Im sure my harness is right, or at least I hope it is. Everythign else seems to work fine, it just wont turn over but I guess no matter what seems ot work right if it wont start then it doesnt matter.

if you have faith in the wiring then ground the block to the head, and the block to the body good. rule that out as a problem first.

then pull out all your plugs (those 12mm bolts) along with the coils and place all your plugs in the boots. lay the entire row of plug threads on a metal pipe and ground the pipe. take out your CAS and turn it with ign on. they should spark

I'll never forget that sound and the feeling that came with it. It's probably like hearing your baby cry for the first time. Relief+accomplishment+excitement should be sold as a drug.
