well, I'm not the most RB-savy person, but I understand that the RB25 and RB26 have the same bore, but the stroke is different. would it be possible to use the crank from an RB26 to stroke an RB25? If this were to happen, larger injectors and a larger turbo would be added, I'm just curious right now.

yeah, that makes sense, well how much horsepower would stroking to 3l get me? also, wouldn't it be less likely to fail due to high boost?

You can't just stroke an RB25 block to a 3.0L.

Just put on a bigger turbo. Or if you are dead set on 3L, then buy an RB30 block and throw an RB26 head on it.
