Ya they are a purple/grey color, I couldn't get the part numbers off the injector though, it was too small, and it was getting dark at the time.

Ok, well if that's true and they are in fact stock then why do I need to pull so much fuel out to keep it at a reasonable a/f ratio? Is it because of the z32 maf? For the fuel system I have a 3 week old walboro 255, a few month old nismo afpr, z32 fuel filter.

Aren't deashwerks(sp?) just redrilled stock injectors? Could they be the same color and still be larger than stock?

Not sure about why you are pulling so much fuel out. Just popping a z32 MAF on there should make it run too lean I think, but there is an option in the SAFC for Z32 MAF anyways, you wouldn't do it through the fuel correction tables. If you are correcting 15%, regardless of the reason, that's moving the timing WAY away from where it should be. That's the s***ty thing about SAFC's, is that they can move the fuel to where you want it by tricking the ecu, but it also moves the timing which you don't intend. O yeah, I'm not saying you don't have bigger injectors, but the only 2 times I've seen deatschworks injectors, they were black. Or was that RC engineering? Actually, I'm not sure now.

Could have nothing to do with the fueling, the SAFC, or something else completly, but two things jump out at me for sure. 1- you should be spooling that turbo a lot quicker. 2- 370cc injectors should be at or a little past 100% injector duty cycle on that turbo at 19psi. I think your nistune idea is going to be the best way to go. Can you do nistune on a 25 computer, or do you need to use a VG30 ecu?

You have to do a z32 computer, all that's required is 6-8 wires need to be repinned at the ecu, that info is available on nistune's website.

So I guess I need to get that nistune goin' and pull that safc out and see where that puts me.

Cj what ecu are you running?

if you are subtracting fuel it makes since that you have bigger injectors than the factory. You might need more timing to make that thing feel a lil more peppy...

i cant wait to put my hx on. It might go on before the winter...

I may bump the timing up a few degrees and see if that makes any difference, hopefully account for the dumb safc that's messing with my fun.

Bump. Gonna do this mod over the winter.

OP how did the manifold hold up? If your technique worked I may try it myself. That TIG with nickel filler sounds pricey :x . I love DIY :) .

I would do it for you, but honestly by the time you paid to have it done it wouldn't be all that economical anymore. If you are seriously interested send me a PM.
