Alright so I'm stuck and I need help! I'm finishing up my RB25 swap into my S13, and I go to fire it up and.. nothing. So I start checking it all out. Fuel pump is good, I pulled the CAS off and spun it by hand and I can hear the injectos pulsing. I moved onto spark, pulled the plugs and there was fuel on every plug. I used a multimeter to check the voltage at the plug and I get 12v. I checked the continuity as much as I could figure out from the wires going to the coils and CAS and they all are continuous back to the ECU. It is a series 1 RB25 and I have replaced the ignitor and purchased 6 more coil packs so I don't think those are an issue. The only thing I am unsure about is my ECU, I don't know how to check and see if it's good or not and I think the guy said it was a series 2 when I bought it, but Ive heard it didn't matter. I also am unsure about my grounds, I have a Chase Bays wiring harness and it is grounded to the intake mani, I have a big a** ground wire going from the block to the strut tower, and some smaller grounds from the intake mani to the firewall just to be safe. So needless to say I'm stuck. I'm leaning toward needing a new ECU but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas before I went out and bought a new one. If you read all of this thanks for getting this far and thanks in advance for any help! I need it!

Ok to check signal from the igniter you need to unplug a coil pack plug put the positive end on the signal wire and use OHMS to watch for a pulse signal from the ecu to igniter to the coil pack. Also, check the positive and negative signals on the harness. Your missing one of those 3 to fire up. there are two plugs for the coil packs one for the igniter signal and the other for POS AND NEG 12vdc. anymore help needed post up asap!

Badass man I'll see what I can figure out tnt when I get off work! Also I'm not too sure if I'm getting power to my ECU which also may be the problem. Arent there lights or something on the ECU when I turn the key to on?

Ok do you know where the ECCS relay is located in a 1990 S13? Ive heard ppl talk about the EGI relay under the hood but I don't think that's the same thing. I've heard in the passenger side kick panel too but I looked there and didn't see it. I have a Chase Bays harness and it has one random relay on the harness next to the ECU.

Very close to the ecu wiring should be two small blue relays.

So it's supposed to be part of the actual engine harness? My Chase Bays harness only has one black relay on it :/

chasebays probably rewires it to that single relay in the car...

start basic, check your fuses...mainly anything labeled 'egi' in the engine bay fusebox.
