RB25 Starter Solenoid

Long story short I think I fried my start solenoid on my RB25, I need to now what the replacement part is for it. Thanks.

If you lived near me I would send you to my local starter/alt rebuilder. Check and see if you have a local rebuilder that could look at it and find a replacement.

why not give him his number and have him ship his parts to him, and then back again.. sure it will cost a litte, but at least hes gonna know it will work, and not have to wait forever to get one from japan.

Assuming that the solenoid you are referring to is the black thing with the two wires go to for the starter, then you can just use one off the KA starter. One of the prongs were broke when I got my engine so I just swapped them out and it worked fine. The little plastic shaft that is in the KA one is different than the RB, so just use the one from the RB and you will be fine. Unless you happen to have gorrilla grip like I do, plan on using an impact driver to remove the philips head screws that hold the solenoid on or you will strip the hell out of them.

Thanks for the info. But I was messing around again tonight and the whole starter is shot. So now i need to find which starter to replace that with.

its not really necessary to bump all the old starter threads. just bump 1 and wait
