take it to a local shop. It's an easy part for someone that regularly cleans starters/alternators to rebuild especially if it's out of the car already. Shouldn't be very expensive, and they can usually get it done and back to you the next day.

I had both my alternator and starter rebuilt locally and back on my motorset (before it was swapped in) in no time.

(not stupid though) Best option, butg if you need it 7-10 days for shipping is standard.

i found a place that said they want to see it before they tell me if they can rebuild it and for some reason they wouldnt give me a price but i heard there good to deal with and that have would have it done by the next day.

and cmartz2k thanks for the offer thats a great deal and almost to hard to pass up but unfortunately i need it by next thurs. but if for some strange reason this falls through ill definately be getting with you of course if you dont mind
