rb25 start up issue, whats new....

ok, this is a r33 rb25det series 1 engine going into a 91 240sx, i sent the wiring to jon p to work on it. i emailed him the same question bc i think it could be harness related but im not sure.

i first pulled the coils and grounded the spark plugs, didnt get any spark. changed the plug and tried again, nothin. i then pulled the plug that goes to the individual coil and tested to see if it was getting a signal, it wasnt either. i then looked down into the cylinder for gas, it was dry. i went to the injector plug and tested for a signal there, i wasnt getting anything there either. so basically i dont have signal to the coils nor do i have a signal to the injectors. let me know if there is anything else i could test i dont know when to call it quits and send the harness back. the starter turns over strong just doesnt sound like its gonna fire. also, i tried using another ignitor but had no luck there, that was before i checked the fuel signal. please let me know what you think. ive read a few forum posts and havent had any luck

Anyone have a guess as to whats not right?

ok there are 2 plugs from the bottom harness that give you 12vdc and ground to the injectors and spark plugs. Sounds like you missed them. real easy to do.

You should have 2 harness for the fuel rail and the coil packs.

power ground (2 pin plug) black white wiresand ecu pulse signal (7 pin plug) going to the injector harness

same for coil packspower ground (2 pin plug) black white wiresand ecu pulse signal ignitor harness from ecu

If u arent getting fuel or spark, might check the CAS.

yo, i did a walk through w jon and he told me to send the harness back in.

wawa, jon did give me aa run through about the cas and it is working correctly. i also checked the volts on the injectors and it is getting power... jon seems to think its the ecu or the connection with the the harness and ecu. ill let everyone know.

sounds a bit too familiar with the starting issue and it is making me nervous...very much do not want to replace the ECU right now.

im pretty sure jon will find the solution. if its the ecu i think ill just get the power fc...

anyone have one they wanna sell?

Just out of curiousity, do you have a S1 or S2 motor? If S1, did you check to see that you have 12V at your injector harness (grey wire)? That was half of my problem and it had the same symptoms as yours.
