my rb25 is running great but when it is under load i cannot get the car rev over 4500 and only about four pounds of boost, we realized that without the speed pulse sender hooked up the car goes into a crap mode, but does and one know which pin in the ecu it hookes to and if it goes to the dash first or anything like that, would love some help here.jeffrb25 powered 93 hatch

The speedometer signal will not affect the performance of the car. I ran my car for 3 months with no speedometer or the speed sensor hooked up at all.The speed sensor input on the ECU is used only for top speed cut, nothing else that I know of.

But anyway, the signal from the transmission goes to the instrument cluster first, then it feeds back to the ECU. Check the FSM for the correct pin to feed back into, I forget now. By hooking it up, you're only putting a govenor on your car though, I wouldn't do it.I hooked mine up because I use a PowerFC, and it doesn't have a top speed cut, so it doesn't hurt to hook it up.

thanks for the info, if you could help me figure out why my car is going into limp mode or you have any ideas let me know. here is what it does, it runs fine up to 4500 rpm then as it acctually starts to boost it acts like it is hitting fuel cut or red line and bucks but wont go any hirer, but when it is sitting in nuetral i can rev it all the way up to redline, any thoughts?-J
