I was about to order a B&M shifter, but I figured I'd do a quick search here to make sure it fits. I see some people have problems with the B&M? The bolts not lining up?. I couldn't find a definitive yes or no. Anyone tried the B&M with the RB25? I don't think the C's is made anymore, so I guess the only other option is an OBX...

Any shifter made to fit a KA, SR, maybe the CA will work with the transmission. I hear the B&M is a nice choice.

Check out page 4 of "rb series replacement part numbers". There is someone who says it is different and have physically compared the KA and RB.

I can tell you that yesterday I put my ka shifter in my RB25 transmission and it works perfect. I was checking fitment but went back to the RB because it has a shorter throw than the ka, barely.

I believe that the ka shifter works, but my question is specifically about the B&M short shifter. It's design is a little different than a c's or obx

The website lists R33, but it's a little vague

Is anyone else's RB shift feel really high to them? It doesn't have a long throw but you it's about 2-3" higher then the stock one. I guess a short shifter would help alittle of they use a shorter arm.

i have a B&M shifter on my 240 w/SR20, its a great shifter, ive had no problems but it does make a loud noise around 6500 rpms, but i heard this is normal. im currently looking for a RB26 that will have a RB25 transmission for a new 240 project, if i get it before too long i can check and see if it fits...

What are you talkin about? THE B&M? it shouldn't since it's not like the other short shifters. OR are you talkin about SR/KA shifters don't work in the 25 transmission at all?

The B&M short throw shifter pictured above is for the KA/SR and it wont fit the RB25DET transmission, I bought it and tried to put it on and it doesnt work.

I ended up going with an OBX and for the record it works with the RB25 transmission. You need longer bolts for the clamp and you have to use the stock bushing and upper cup because the OBX parts aren't even close. I was a little worried about clearance with the R33 crossmember, but it fits fine. It is a huge improvement over stock. Combined with the polyurethane transmission mount, there is no more slop in the shifter.
