rb25 shifter

it looks like when we took out the shifter to put in the motor we misplaced the ring that holds down the shifter atleast thats what im guessing the shifter wont lock down does anyone know where i can get a replacement ring?

you can use the KA stuff.. i did in mine.

I used my KA's shifter actually it's shorter and it works fine but the snap-ring can be found anywhere just go to a parts store if you don't have your KA snap-ring still.

there was rumors that the KA shifters do in fact work in the RB25DET transmission. then others said it does not work. so you have been using a KA short shifter in your RB25DET transmission and it has worked fine? because i want to get a short throw for my transmission and KA short throws are all over the internet unlike RB25 short shifters

Sorry for not specifying I have an RB20 but if you look at the plain stock shifters the RB20 and pics of RB25's I've seen are pretty much identical to KA's as well as many other Nissan 5 speed shifters. My Ka shifter just happened to be about and inch and a half shorter then the RB20 one so I slide it in. Take a look though, for simply getting a shorter shifter and less distance for your hand you can usually pick up a cheap egay short shifter and just use the shifter itself for a smaller throw.
