Hi,

I've only got 2 questions about the wiring of a RB25DET series 1 into a S14 1995.

First, has anyone connected the grey wire that gives power to the injectors with the blue/white wire inside the engine near the firewall?

Second, has anyone connected the yellow wire for the fast idle cam with the blue/red wire inside the engine near the firewall?

I just want to make sure everything is fine if I did that.

Thanks in advance for your help, it's really appreciated.

What is the L/W wire inside the engine near the firewall? What is it supposed to be powering?

The L/W is connected to the pin 21 on the RB. It powers up the AAC, Boost Valve, Variable Timing Control.

I don't know if it's the same thing for you, but my L/W wire splits into 3 L/W wires to power up the sensors mentionned above. I used one of these splits to power up the grey wire for the injectors.

As for the L/R wire, it's connected to the pin 15 on the RB for the Wiper-Ignition. I've used that L/R wire to power up the yellow wire for the fast idle cam.

I just want to know if it's going to work properly. Thanks a lot for the help.

The sensor power should work fine.

The only concern I have (and it will probably still work) is that the wiper-ignition power is delayed during "START". So whatever you have connected to that wire, will not have power during startup. For example, that would be a bad source to get your injector power from

I think you'll be fine with both.

Your injectors should be powered from the main Black/Red ignition wire. It might work off the Blue/White, but this circuit was only designed for powering the O2 and other small accesories(when wired properly). The Blue/Red circuit was designed for the wiper system and should not be used for injectors.

The yellow wire leads to the FICD. If you look at the RB25DET schematics, this system is triggered off the A/C compressor relay. In other words, the FICD is designed to raise your idle only when the A/C compressor is running --to compensate for extra load. Wiring it to the ignition circuit will trigger the solenoid whenever the ignition is on. If you follow the ground off the FICD, you'll see that it doesn't get triggered by the ECU. I'll let you guys figure it out from there.
