I have an rb25 s2 and i upgraded to a greddy plenum and q45 throttle body and i am wondering if i need to hook up the throttle switch along with the TPS sensor. I have the TPS wired up and working but the car will not idle below 1600 if the TPS is calibrated correctly. So im wodering if the prescence of the Idle switch will fix that problem becuase the rb25 s2 has the idle switch and TPS sensor all in one on the throttle body

from my personal experience the throttle switch turning on/off had no affect on my idle. the only thing the throttle switch does is close when the voltage is below ~.5v. you can test it out by connecting the two wires for the throttle switch together so the ECU thinks the throttle switch is closed and see if it does anything. i doubt it will do much. you might have a leak somewhere if you can't adjust the idle screw any lower than 1600 rpm

i dont have any leak anywhere. I leak tested the whole system to past 20psi with not a leak anywhere. From what ive looked up the rb20 and rb26 have to have the idle switched wired up or it doesnt run right. Im wondering if the rb25 s2 is the same thing because it has the idle switch connected whether its auto or not
