So I've got a 95 240sx which I swapped an rb25 s2 into. I followed the f3 pinout diagram on rbforums.org I also used Darius's diagram for wiring the ka wiper amp onto the rb harness. When I turn the ignition key to the on position, the wipers are constantly turned on (regardless of intermittent position of the wiper stalk). I've tried searching and haven't found an answer to this question.

I still have the rb wiper amp that I can rewire to the harness, but before I do I'd like to make 100% sure that it's not something else I may have overseen.

I'd really appreciate some help from the rb gurus

Thanks-Sean

Thanks Joe!

I'll have to check that out. I may just rewire the rb wiper amp back in so that way it's one less spot for error.

You're not the first to have issues with that wiring pinout. I think HXC_Nismo had issues when he used it for his RB26 install.

I tossed my RB amp away with the chassis by accident so I was forced to rewire in the KA wiper amp. If you have the RB amp, you should be able to look at the RB25 wiring diagram and decipher which wire should end up on which pin in the F3 plug to mate up with the dash harness. If I remember correctly, most of the wires matched color-wise, but there were a couple that did not even though like colored wires were in that part of the harness.

Either way, the pinout labels from the F3 plug should be correct. It is just a matter of matching up the wires in the RB harness to get the wipers to work properly.

Wipers are now working as they should. I checked over all the wiring at the F3 and they all checked out fine. I wired the rb wiper amp in with no change so I rewired the ka wiper amp back in. After more searching I realized that the wiper motor needs to be rewired as well. After checking both the ka wiper motor harness as well as the rb I repinned the plug and that was it.

So in conclusion:The F3 pinout on rbforums.org as well as Darius's ka wiper amp pinout were spot on. I just didn't realize the wiper motor plug was different. I did make notes this time so if anyone needs to know the wiper motor pinout, I'll post em up.

Thanks to those who helped-Sean

PS: The car still has a few months until it runs. I was just checking things in the mean time. Here's a pic of what I've been working on

If the intermittent doesn't work, check the ground. I accidently left my wiper harness ungrounded before, and it would either go full blast or off only.

Well originally my wipers were staying on no matter what position it was set to and then it only worked on high (at low speed) and when it would turn it off it would just stop at whatever position the wiper was in. Then I repinned the wiper motor plug and it works in every position just like factory.

For the wiper amp:RB-------->KA

L/R------>LGO-------->OL/Y------>L/YP-------->PBR------>PINKBR/W--->BRB-------->B

For the wiper motor there are five wires. The colors on the rb harness are blue/red, orange, black, light green/black, and light green/red.

Viewing the plug from the harness side with the clip at the top

BLANK ....blue/red.....orangeblack......lg/black .......lg/red

This is on my 95 s14 with a series 2 swap.

Hope this helps-Sean
