Alright, I am in the middle of building a spare chassis I have to accomadate an Rb25det. I understand that the rb26 is a much more expensixe motor to swap in. My question is though if I am intending to run a 3076 on a new manifold, and all of its supporting mods. Im not quite understanding what will cost me so much more???? Im sure theres more wiring issues, but outside of the wiring and thee obvious rb25 transmission what else would be required for this??

I am basically asking if i were to go rb25 now what has to be changed for the rb26??

use the 26 pan, just remove all the 4wd stuff and the front pumpkin off the oil pan. the wiring is different, you can use the 25 mounts on the 26 block, same clutch and flywheel as well.

so im doing an rb25 swap and planning on running an aftermarket intake, mani, turbo, fmic, Fp, radiator, z32 ecu with nistune, etc.. the rb 26 is the way to go??
I mean you see a basic rb26 install price of 10g's what kinda power is coming out of that??
because a basic rb25 is almost 5g's and it puts you at what 250 hp???
I'm not seeing how an rb25 swap is so much bettter, as in price to results.....

Ive dyno'ed at right around 300rwhp in my rb25 swap coupe. Ive got a fmic, greddy intake manifold, and a power fc. 300rwhp is still quite a good feeling in my car, mostly because there is absolutely no lag. Granted i also have new rings, WPC treated bearings, arp headstuds, cometic headgasket, an orgura racing twin plate, new oil pump, water pump, timing belt...you get the picture. I spent the extra money that i did not spend on getting the rb26 into freshening my motor up into something i can honestly daily drive.

If your going to spend 5g's less on the rb25 swap then the 26, why not spending the extra 5g's on building the motor, adding a cage, suspension...etc. $5000 can go quite a ways if spent properly
