RB25 S14 Swap using R32 x-member

Hi,

I'm debating purchasing an RB25 with a top-mount T67 for my S14. The motor is wired up and installed in an S13 using the R32 cross member. I'm wondering if this will fit in the S14, ie. will the cross member work for that setup and will there be clearance issues with the [top-mount] downpipe. Also, how much wiring is involved converting the harness from S13 to S14?

I've read the stickies, just wondering if anyone has experience with this particular setup.

yes it will work and no the harness will be far from plug and play, it will need to be redone completely to bring it from s13 to s14 spec.

Thanks for the quick reply.

How much will have to be redone? Is it a matter of changing plugs or do sensors need to be replaced as well?

Completely hacked up and re-done. You might as well sell that swap harness you have now and start from scratch. It powers stuff from inside the car vs outside the car, most of the plugs are different IIRC, and some other stuff I'm not thinking of. See if you can get a couple of bucks for what you have now and put it towards the new harness.

S13 = close'ish to R32

S14 = close'ish to R33

Crossing between the two platforms is pretty involved.

The thing is, I don't have a non-modded RB harness. I do have a stock KA-de harness from the S14.

I did a harness this summer for an RB25->S13 conversion - if its about the same amount of work to change this modded harness to S14 I don't mind doing it. Is it not just a matter of replacing/rewiring a couple chassis->engine harness plugs and the dash plug?
