I finally signed up and this is my first post, been reading here for a LONG time though. Anyways, I'm getting an RB25 clip from Night and plan on putting the engine into a 95 240sx. My question is what is the correct size for the drive shaft for this swap? Night has never made one for this specific swap combo so I want to make sure I get the right length drive shaft made.

Thanks for any help.

The lenght depends on what mounting system you using. The S14 drive shaft is about 2" longer than a S13 shaft..

Well I'm probably going to be using the stock R33 crossmember and stock motor mounts. So should I just have the drive shaft made 2" longer than it would be if it was going in an s13 -> rb25 swap?

so, what is the easiest way to get a useable driveshaft to work on an s14. I have both the ka and the r33 driveshafts.

I did mine with Mckinney motorsports motor mounts and a custom drive shaft made by NW drivelines in seattle, the drive line was $475 and works perfect! (all new parts) I have all the specs if you need them but the length is for the mckinney mount (which I recomend)

wait til you have the engine installed in the car and then measure what size youll need. that will save you money from having to buy the unneeded mckinney attachments. I mean no offense to McKinney, but most people are on a budget.

Well I was looking at getting it through Night, unless it'd be cheaper elsewhere. If I got it from night though it'd just make things easier to have it shipped with the clip, but if there aren't any specific measurements available waiting sounds like the better option.

night hasnt installed one in an s14, youve got an s14. id rather pay money to a driveshaft shop (under 200) than pay 400 to someone who doesnt have a shop, or any tools, to just take it off and do the same you would have done. Then worry about it being the right size, since he hasnt done an s14 swap before. no offense to night, but its the truth. he is no more qualified to take it off to a shop and have it done than you, all you need to do is measure it when you have the transmission in, and tell them how long you want it and give them the driveshaft to pull the yoke from too.
