i'm trying to finish my RB25 in an S13 swap. i already have a KOYO alum rad and i have the FAL dual low profile pullers. i'm just wondering if the stock S13 rad would work with the RB25. From just looking at the s13 rad, it looks like it would work seeing as both hoses would be on the passenger side. i'm just not sure of how well the s13 rad would do cooling wise for the rb25. i know the stock s14 rad works with it cuz i've seen people run it with that one....just not the s13. and i'm thinking there maybe be a reason for that, but i just don't know what.

the reason i'm asking this (even though i have a koyo) is because in order for the koyo to fit, i have to cut away some of the rad support and stuff to make it all fit and where i'm working on my car, i just don't really have the best means to go about doing that. so for the time being, i was gonna try to use either the stock s13 or s14 until i am able to actually cut the supports and stuff. i know it'd probably fit better if i had pushers with the koyo instead of pullers, but i have the pullers. and the pullers are more efficient anyways

so pretty much, am i able to use the s13 rad or not?

Another Wisconsin RB25 Guy? Nice!I would say it would as long as both the inlet and outlet are on the pass side! I would just use the rad with two pushers instead of cutting away at the core support. I have two pushers and have yet to have a cooling problem. Just my .02So where are you in PA or WI

Yeah the KA rad will work with SR hoses. Its what mine had... but i had to replace it, dips*** that put it all together dinged the rad pretty good and there was a nice hole in front. fun times. But i learned the SR rad wont work unless you SERIOUSLY do some get fab on the hoses.

But yeah as i was saying, the KA rad will work. A Mishimoto Rad works great, even with a pusher infront. No room for a puller. One of the supports will hit the fan, so for now i have 1 12 inch fan on like half my radiator Im not too sure on the Koyo, but one of my friends told me a Koyo made for KA is perfect, using SR20 rad hoses.

stock s13 radiator will not work.. cracks because the rb builds to much pressure for the plastic on the radiator to handle..

Even with the FALs? I have them, but since I have pullers + no room, I have them sitting aside for now and only 1 12" fan.

I thought I could switch the wires too, but they sell 2 different models: pusher and puller.

I was contemplating on selling them, but if I can reverse the polarity and it work just fine, I'll do that and get rid of my a/c condenser.

yeah +1 for WI guys!! what rad are you running? seeing as rb25det250sx said the s13 rad will crack, i'm probably gonna go with an s14 for now.

i'm currently in PA, but i'm just out here for school. i still technically live in WI. i'm from milwaukee, but i lived in madison for a year with a few friends right before i came to school out here in PA in july. and i see you're from madison! i was actually living on E. Washington and Blair....about 5 blocks from the capitol. where abouts in madison are you?

Eh, whats all the fuss about? I'm running a stock ka rad (s***ty single core/plastic end tanks at that) with a single s14 ac fan (!) and she holds temp just fine. I haven't got on her too hard yet but after 2 weeks of driving it seems to be working just fine.

yeah i ditched the s13 rad and went with an s14 rad with FAL dual puller fans and it works pretty well. i've taken it on a drive from PA to WI and back which is about 11-12 hours of driving one way and its held up alright so far.
