Rb25 S1 5500rpm Limiter

Engine runs hard till 5500rpm then hits what seems to be a limiter. Ive tried 2 sets of plugs (bkr7eix and bcpr6es-11), brand new Super Spark Coil Packs from Raw Brokerage, Timing is at 15*, Walbro 255 pump and Nismo FPR set at 45psi. Any ideas?

swnds like detonation not a rev limiter

Why would it be detonating? Its at stock boost, stock timing, on 93 octane, with plenty of fuel pressure.

boost leak??? could be leaking between the afm and throttle body causing det?

can be alota things u got a sus out and eliminate things as you go

Cas in the middle? knock sensors hooked up? Does it do the same with the stock coils?Have good grounds?

The old coilpacks were worse cause 2 of them were on there way out. I just fixed the ground to the coilpacks and the limiter went away but now its missing over 6krpm. Im gonna ground it to the firewall tomorrow and check for boost leaks. I checked for boost leaks 2 weeks ago and found nothing but added a BOV 2 days ago so maybe thats leaking. It is a Greddy RS BOV afterall. I dont know what it is but ive had 2 RB25's and both had similar misses to them. Ive never had any trouble like this with my SR.

Is that tach calibrated properly?

i got the same problem @ 4500 though

s1 rb25apexi intakefmicthe rest is stockusing a j30 tach

Mine was doing it the other day, its like the turbo fell on its face, mostly in 2 or 3 gear, then on my way home i did a couple downshifts into 4th and went right past it with no problem.....?

Yeah the tach is accurate. Its an Autometer Ultra Comp II. Brand New. Im gonna boost leak it tonight, check all my grounds, run new grounds to the firewall, and check over my fuel pump.

I got the engine running right. YAY! Grounded the coil packs to the firewall, found the POS Greddy BOV was leaking so i plugged it (Yay for no BOV), and found my Fuel Feed Line was kinked horribly bad before the Fuel Filter. Somehow it was out of the holder and it came up kinking the rubber line. Engine runs beautiful now.
