Hey peeps, I've committed to pursue my rb swap into my hatch and I'm looking @ turbo upgrade. I was initially looking @ the Apex-i RX6, but since have decided the gt3076r looks better for my plotted points. I've been on youtube and heard some of the vids there, but I wanted to hear some actual testimonials of performance, feel, boost onset, etc.

Thanks in advance.

I just recently installed my 76R (T4 flanged) its a sweet feeling setup i get 10 psi at around 3300rpm that with a 1.06 divided housing and a tubular divided manifold

I can tell its making alot more power on just 10 psi then it was before on 11 its a great turbo if your goals are around 500whp or less very responsive sounds freaking amazing in boost this isnt the first engine ive had this turbo on.. its by far IMO the best turbo for response and power

I'm glad you mentioned the divided housing b/c that was a route I was exploring. I noticed that option when I was on the Garrett site.

You've got the 1.06 and you say it spools that well, I was thinking the .84 would be good for what I've got in mind. Thanks

IMO, it is one of the best turbos for a street-driven RB25 in terms of price, response, and peak power. You won't be dissapointed. A twin-scroll .84 housing will have very little lag but will choke out earlier than a 1.06 twin scroll would. In the end, it depends on what you want from the turbo and its application.

Yeah, I checked the compressor maps online and overlaid them with my spreadsheet of the points I've plotted. I don't plan on running any more than about 25-30lbs max boost and it seems either will be a good fit for me.

I am running a RB25 with a GT35. Running 14 psi. it starts pulling hard between 3000 and 3500. I have the internally gated .63 turbine housing. Don't make that mistake. With a Greddy intake and Q45 throttle body I could not controll boost. Keept spiking over 20 psi even with actuator unhooked and wastegate wedged open. I ended up blocking off the internal gate and modifying the manifold and running a Tial 38mm. No problems since then. Hope this helps.
