Well ive been trying to hunt down the problems on my rb. Needless to say i havent had much luck so i came to the experts. My rb is set at 10 lbs, fmic, hks intake filter, 3" exhaust. When i gun it there is very little power. I changed the plugs 2 days ago (gapped .8mm), changed coil packs, checked timing (15*) The car idles like ****, you give it gas and the rpms drop really low and pick back up. Everytime i shift, even off boost i throw a huge *** fire ball out my exhaust. So im thinking im running rich. Do you think that my fpr could be bad? Is there any way to check it? I dont believe i have a boost/vacum leak becuase my gauge holds steady. This rb is begining tobecome a thorn in my side. Please help me rb guru

Most likely something simple.

Boost leak check your system regardless, you don't want to be crying over this for weeks just to find out it was a bad coupler.

Check your ignition timing, make sure it's 15* BTDC

As well, check your Fuel Pressure, buy a inline gauge or rent a tester/gauge from your local parts store and see.

Also, check the readings and specs of the maf and make sure they are inline with the FSM.

Does your car run fine without the upped boost?

That is correct. 20* for any auto RB ecu.

ok set to 20* and pulls a hell of a lot harder but still idles like ****, but im not pulling but 12psi at vacum at idle so im going to try and find my leak to see if that will solve my rough idle.

Thats probably your Idle problem.

You need a Stock MAF unless the ecu is tuned for a different one Otherwise it will throw the ecu off.
