i just got my s1 rb25det back yesterday from the shop who did the swap, its swaped into a s13 and has full turbo back exhaust, turbo smart bov, and a aem boost gauge and aem wideband. it idels and runs great, but it runs really rich at idel, and when you start to get on it, it is fine, but as soon as you hit wide open throttle it will go from about 11.5 and start working its way up, the most i have seen it lean out to is about 13.2, and some times if you get on it it wont move from 14.7, i am not sure if it is the wideband is bad or is the stock o2 sensor is bad or if it is in the wiring, if any one has any ideas what it could be that would be great!

update:::: i cleaned the maf with some maf cleaner and put the stock bov back on, now it seems to be running like a normal rb, it pulls 10 afr and goes up to about 11. i am going to try to put the turbo smart bov back on, cause i dont see how the bov would make it leaner, i could understand if it was running to rich cause i am venting to atmospher with the ts bov. what are you guys running for af wot and at idle?

i dont think its a leaking bov, cause that would cause it to run rich, i think the maf was just hella dirty, i am going to try to put the turbosmart bov back on and see what happens.

Did you clean the ends of the MAFS or what, I always here about people just cleaning them, but do you actually pull it apart and clean the sensor itself. Total newb question I know, but I'm still trying to track down some issues on my 20. Thanks man,DJ

the best way to do it is to get some quick drying electronics parts cleaner. i think CRC even makes a mass air flow sensor cleaner. Spray it generously on the sensor wires and let it dry completely. Don't touch the wires (if your screen is removed). Thats about all you can do. Don't bother taking it apart, chances are you'll break it.

i cleaned it with the maf cleaner in a can, i am still afraid its running a bit lean, it runs about 12 to 12.5 at wot. and some times at lights it will be at 14 to 16, its kinda weird cause every now and then you will be at a stop light and it will be at 11 and 12. what do you guys run for af? wot? idleing? also i am only runing 5 to 6 pounds of boost, what do you run for boost?

14-16 is fine for Idle. 12.0-12.5 at WOT is fine for 6 psi and I believe that is stock. The RB ECU retards timing rediculously for boostlevels past stock.Check for exhaust leaks before the wideband.

Did they put in a Walmart 255lph pump in the car? or is it on the stock 240sx pump?
