I swapped an RB25 into a 89 coupe 240sx. This swap was originally in a 93 and ran perfect. Now it's in the 89 it just won't run right. Swapped motor, trans, ecu, and modified harness. Anything right off that might cause it to not run right?

I know that when I got mine first in, I had some grounds missing, and I cooked my 02 Sensor wire and had a s*** ton of EM interfence on the MAF wiring

One thing that cause's Rb's to run like s*** is Boost leaks, when mine leaks it runs like garbage and just dumps fuel.

Also check to make sure you spark plug gaps are right and having a once over on the ignitor isnt a bad idea.

Remember there is a ground off the ignition harness that you should put to the block or the firewall, that could be causing you some Issues.

I really think you are looking at some serious boost leaks, build yourself a 5 dollar boost leak tester from home depot and call it a day.

thanks for replying. What causes the EM interference on the MAF? It already has the z32 MAF wired to it and tuned. I did make a boost leak tester and tested it at 17 psi which is what it's setup and tuned for at the moment. Had some leaking injector seals. I ended up getting shorter spacers for the fuel rail and it fixed all the leaks. Now it holds the pressure really well. I've been searching for a picture or anything that has all the correct locations for grounds. Going to go check the grounds i have now.

Im having the same kind of issues lately, Defiantly going to check my grounds. Im very interested in the MAF EM interference problem and solution.

Its very intermittent, doesn't seem to coincide with weather or temperature. Runs horrible, and supper rich, AEM wideband flashes 10afr.

Had a bud tell me that it could be a sign my coil packs(S2) could be going bad but it doesnt feel like a cut out, it feels like im dragging a elaphant one moment and one moment its running fine.

Any Ideas??, I plan on starting a new Post with more details some time soon.

btw:this is the first time Ive used Nico since the update, Its nice a few things to get used too but....
YAY for PMs
