Hey guys I am totally new here and have been going through the site picking up a lot of valuable info.....THANKS for that. NOW I have a question/request if someone could help me out. I am a tad short on RB's around the house including the trans and I am in need of some measurements. If anyone would be willing to get me a rough measurement of the overall length Engine and trans, rough height of engine and rough width of engine I would be extremely appreciative. Needing this to ensure it will fit where I am trying to fit it. Sure it will but I would like an Idea before I go to purchasing things and ending up with stuff I cant use. Thanks again for any help.

rwd measurements not awd

Engine swap into a totally different car just looking for the specs stated to ensure the possible fitment and what I may need to adjust or look for in the swap procedure. Thanks again :)

OK so sometimes I get impatient and I start looking for clues for answers to my own questions. I took the stock bore of 87mm and multiplied by 6. This gives me 516mm which was something like 20 15/64 inches. I looked at an existing engine I do have with a stock bore of 83mm and multiplied it by 4 giving me 332mm which was like 13 5/64 inches. Measured the actual length of my engine and it was roughly 19.5 inches giving me a rough 6 inch distance for cylinder walls, casting imperfections, and can pulleys timing ect.... So by a guestimate the RB25/26 should be close to 26 or 27 inches in length. Also in theory the RB25 stroke of 73.7 mm is shorter than that of my engines 91mm stroke so the rb should be somewhat shorter....should but no promises.

Now I found a pic on the net of a trans and drive shaft side by side also a pic of a drive shaft laying on a towel in close proximity to a welcome mat. People are now thinking I'm nutty.... Bathe towels are something close to 3ft in length and doormats usually 2ft. Ish..... The drive shaft was just barely overhanging the towel and laying next to the trans was longer than the trans but not a lot by my guess no more than 6 inches. Sooooo.....shaft of about 42 inches and a trans of about 36 inches. Total length of roughly 62 inches. I am assuming I am close but incorrect. However this is closer than I was. Any help is still appreciated
