Hey everybody,
i'll be driving down the road and my car will just stall at random. It usually happens during boost, but has happened while cruising in 3rd and 4th too.
I have no idea what it is?
It's weird because it will run great for a while, than it just starts crappin out.
I'll have to let it sit for a minute, turn it on, let it idle and than see if i can get it over 3k without it hesitating/sputtering.
rb25 is stock/ walbro fuel pump/ j60 maf

I had this exact same problem with mine a while back. It turned out that a single strand of wire poked through my heatshrink and grounded out the MAF signal wire to the shielding. I'm not saying that's your answer but I would check your electrical connections if it randomly happens.

my maf wires were too long so they fell on the exhaust mani, melted, and shorted

It's so weird how it stalls randomly, it will run fine than once it happens, it starts to happen more frequently till i let the car sit. Yeah that was my first guess, well hope and i felt the wire, it was warm near where the heater hoses are, so i'll really check the entire thing.(Plus mine isn't shrink wrapped, could a small amount of heat do that? The wire was warm b.c it was close to motor.
I'll also look for vacuum leaks..
Question.. My MAF air filter is crap, and part of the foam on the side sticks out, where air can enter/escape . Is that a serious leak?

I just took it out.. ripping on the thing just touching boost.. than i hit boost pretty hard and boom it cuts out and i have to take my foot off the gas to lower rpms and its fine again.
Whats weird is last night i was driving.. and it just kept doing this but instead of dropping the rpms, it would stall and i'd have to sit and wait a min
