1800 bux, mods and hit in the front end. lets just hope it runs because it was ragged on. Never buy a modded engine espcially ones that have been hit in the front it just means the ******* who had the skyline drove like an ***. Too late now, but ya got modssean8564 wrote:Are the following parts the same on the RB20 as the 25 Water pump pully power steering pump with pully alternator harmonic balinceing pully the triple pully i also need to buy the timing belt cover top plate and the back plate I bought a RB25 from Jhot for 1800 dollars and the car was in a front end collision but that is cool because i am about to take it apart because they had some sort of stand alone computer on the car a 3in down pipe and a cusco raceing plate across the top so hope fully i get cams
how in the hell do you figure that? my clip showed up with front end damage and a mines ecu, the engine was immaculate. absolutley no funny wear on the valvetrain, leakdown test was better than i could have hoped. my buddy got a 1jz for his cressida the engine showed up in the clip spotless, totally stock with only 3x000 miles, pulled the valve covers off and there were 2 inches of sludge because the owner never changed the oil.Slo_240sx wrote:1800 bux, mods and hit in the front end. lets just hope it runs because it was ragged on. I agree. My RB26 came with the wastegate actuators vacuum lines cut (meaning an aftermarket boost controller was used). There were about 5 connectors on the wiring harness by the ECU, showing that some monitoring or remapping piggy-back was used. A set of HKS filters with piping was installed on the MAFs. The engine itself was dirty with dust, oil on the right side, etc....Kamin wrote:its all hit or miss, there is no way to judge an engines condition by modification level.
