I have had my RB25 running in a S13 hatch for about 3 years. Late last year I spun out on the highway on a damp night pushing it a little too hard and totaled the hatch.
It looked like everything engine-wise was OK, but for fear of finding more expensive damage than just the shell, I took my time getting the car started again. I finally built up the nerve to pull timing covers and double check everything mechanical on the engine before test firing it. The CAS bracket had cracked so I had a friend TIG it back up and put everything back together and removed the bent up catback so there wouldnt be as much backpressure on the engine.
Engine fired up first shot.
I debated selling off the swap and starting with something else, however, due to a lack of interest I decided to keep it and find another shell.
A good friend of mine, Digzsublime, offered me a hell of a deal on a 1992 S13 coupe so I bought it.
Now the project continues again. I learned a lot on the last car so I have a lot of new ideas Im excited about getting to try out on this one. Ive started TIG welding so I can make my own engine and transmission x-members among some other things. Ill keep this thread updated with progress, but it may be a couple of months before I have much to add.
Money is going towards a trip to Vegas at the end of July right now. If anyone out there wants to meet up and chill, Ill be there with a couple of other good friends.
