rb25 power fc isnt powering on! wrong unit?

i have a series 2 rb25det and i just purchased an apexi power fc for that motor. it didnt come with a controller but i found another guy selling only the controller from his series 2 setup. i unhooked my positive battery cable, hooked up the power fc and controller then hooked the battery back up. i turn the ignition on and the sceen on the commander doesnt light up. the motor turns over but doesnt start. any help here would be greatly appreciated! a few people have told me to hook it back up and wiggle the connector on the commander to see if its just loose. ill be trying that asap.

power fc serial no. PFC ECR33 010-0058 on the other side there is 415-F001

and for the commander FCC3 020-27241

ive talked with the sellers of both parts and they are certain they are for a s2 rb25.

The car should start without the commander hooked up. Sorry thats all I got for ya.

yea i figured it should but it doesnt. actually when i turn the ignition switch i dont even hear the fuel pump prime which isnt good. maybe the guy sold me the wrong power fc? ive gotta do alittle more searching. again any help would be greatly appreciated!

your wiring is wrong.

did your car run before with a stock ecu? if not, i'm guessing it's a wiring problem. the motor will turn over even if you have no ecu connected. if it did run before, maybe the ecu connector isn't all the way tight. it should still start and run without the commander.

this has been my daily driver for about 3 years. it runs fine with stock ecu.

hate to say it, but it might be a bad PFC or the wrong model then. your wiring is probably correct (or good enough) if the stock ecu works

if someone with a series 2 power fc could check the serial number on there ecu that would be awesome! mine does say ecr33 on one of the stickers but the other sticker says 415-F001 and i cant find anything online about that.

i've got mine out of the car right now serial # is ECR33 010-2559 commander unit is FCC3 020-26521 it's a series 1 yours sound's like a 1 also

well the guy i got mine from says hes 100% sure its for a series 2. but ive read in a few different places online that the power fc for rb25 will work with both series 1 and 2, and that only the neo power fc is different. ive pulled the cover off both the power fc and commander and they both look like new. unless someone makes me feel otherwise i think its some kind of wiring issue in my harness. just doesnt make sense that my stock ecu works fine and the power fc does nothing. if anyone else can give some useful information please do!

I had the same issue with mine when i bought it, bought mine brand spanken new. put it in and nadda. For some reason the ground from the ecu for the eccs relay was not their. so i just ran a relay off ignition power for the ground sig and ran it like that.worked fine after that after spending that much money on somthing you would expect it to work. oh and also the power fc are made to work with both series 1 and 2. used mine on both
