RB25 plus Greddy intake manifold....What throttle cable?

The person who bought my old setup got a greddy intake manifold/Q45 throttle body. His car is an 89. His throttle cable just barely reaches the throttle body and when it's hooked up the throttle plate will not shut. I think his cable is from the old SOHC engine (Had a KA24DE-T in it before the swap).

I believe an s14 cable will work.

Throttle cables are fairly standard in most cars. I got mine off a honda, and alot of older fwd nissans had very long ones (1993 altima is an example) since they went all the way around the valve cover.

Best way it to take the old one to a junkyard, and match the ends to something longer. Make SURE the ends are the same.

i modified mine to suit the front facing plenum...get some wire rope (1/16th") and some throttle stops a few snips here and there later and you've got a custom throttle cable.

or try the dohc s13 one. its longer than sohc

Does anyone know how long the DOHC s13 one is?

A S14 cable will work... it is a cuple if inchs longer just enough to fit ur greddy manifold wit the Q45 T/B

i asked this question like a week ago and found out that the s14 and s13 dohc cable should be the same length

The issue with mine is not the length of the cable, but how long the cable is inside the jacket... Needs about 1 inch more, I am just modifying my bracket to suit. Using a S14 cable in a R33

I used a cable out of a nissan maxima if I remembered correctly... It has enough slack to hide it behind the head/valve covers
