Is there anything wrong with the HG that's in it now? Are you just trying to put it in "for insurance" while the engine is out? If that's the case, don't. Just leave it. Ignore what half the tools on the internet say about "RB headgaskets are good to 1.2 bar". 1.2 bar on what turbo?!?! They have no clue what they are talking about. You can do 2.0 bar and 550hp on a stock HG for at least a year of beating the crap out of it. Seen it first hand. Nothing seals like a stock paper HG.

I'm just trying to avoid future problems with That motor in case that headgasket takes a s*** right, now I'm not in a hurry I'm taking my time.. Nah nah I'm not doing it for insurance I just wanna a lil more of boost

Dude like cj said its prob fine the chances of ur hg crapping out before ur ring lands break are kinda slim .... But if you must know re-surface the block and the head smooth as a babys azz. Spray the MLS hg with copper spray and get some arp head studs...!!!!!! AND MAKE SURE TO CHASE AND CLEAN YOUR THREADS !!!!!! And follow the instructions

I left the stock HG in My R25 and drove on it for 3 years and had no need to upgrade to anything else even with a upgraded turbo injectors and several other goodies But if you do get a MLS HG for the RB make sure it is at least 20 over

In a stock bottom end i would leave a stock HG. When you get up there in the HP i would rather have my HG blow than have the ring lands blow. And PSI of the turbo like cj said has nothing to do with the HG its all about cylinder pressures. People listen way too much to PSI ratings and always say stupid stuff like 1 psi = 8 hp.

Leave it its fine.
