Hey guys...

I don't know if you know me, i don't really write a lot in the forum, i prefer to read and learn

I'm Tom, from israel, I have an S14 silvia (not a 240 SX), We only have 7 silvia's in israel...only 2 was m/t (that have changes since my a/t to m/t swap )

now, i've decided to be the most unique silvia in here, and thinking about an rb swap...

the goal is, to be the strongest (like all of us want...)not too big of a problem in israel, the strongest was a porsche with 900BHP (not WHP), but she burned...and now, there is a honda with about 600 HP (again, not WHP), she has B18 Engine, GT35/40 with the AR1.06, and good for 11K RPM...

now, my goal is 600RWHP, what of the rb's would you reccomend?,and... with what setup...

another question is, how much RPM does an RB25, and 26, can get at stock internals and cams...what do i need to do to get 10K RPM out of it?

thanks for all of your help...

Tom.

hey. i was in Tel Aviv for a biz trip about 3 weeks ago.. awesome place. guess i missed out on the street racing scene

you dont need to rev to 10k in order to make 600whp. However if you really wanted to you would def need new internals. i believe the stock redline for the 25 and 26 is ~7.5-8k

If money is not too tight then go for the 26. it will be more "unique", and you can make 600hp keeping a twin setup. If you're looking to build up the engine, 25 or 26 will do. 25 will save you some money initially, and parts are a *little* easier to find.

good luck w/ the project.

It all depends on your budget... let us know what kind of budget you have and I'm sure some of us can point you in the right direction.

I believe I can sqeez 10K$ for the swap...

gawdzilla - you didn't missed too much...unfortunally most of israely "racers" are ricers with 88 honda's...is there a big difference between the 2 engines if I completly replace the internalls? or will they both manage the same power with forged internals?

If you are just looking for really big power... I'd say go with the 25 and do an internal build (be sure to drop the CR) with that budget. With that and a few bolt-ons you should be good to handle most anything that comes your way and produce reliable power.

This way with the money you saved not buying a 26... you can build a strong 25 which your budget should allow for since you already own the car with some addons. Will you be doing the swap yourself or paying someone to do it? This is another item you need to include in your budget.

yep, for that budget I would go 25 as well with a rebuild.

Huh, just curious what the roads are like in isreal. A a typical american who hasn't traveled much all I think of is sand.

How much are RB25's and RB26's in Isreal, over here the 26 is significantly more, If there is little difference in cost I would go for the RB26, you could probably even get 600 keeping the TT, and you won't have to worry about the steering interfereing cause it's LHD.

I'd get a 26 over the 25 just for the head. The 26 head flows way more than the 25. It's not hydrolic either so you can run really big cams to make your HP. The Stock revlimit on the 25 is 7100 and 8000 for the R33 RB26's I'm not too sure about the R32 RB26's.
