Alright well since I had my RB with the skyline gauge cluster my oil pressure has been at around 2 on the cluster and I run 7 psi. Well last night I had a warning light and 4.5 oil pressure on the cluster, and my car started running 14 psi. It's all stock, and I'm just wondering what my oil pressure should be at, on my cluster and at the engine.

Started running 14psi? You mean boost pressure? You need to be more specific with your numbers.

Yes. My car normally runs on 7 psi boost daily, but last night when my oil pressure was higher then normal I ran on 14 psi. I'm wondering what my normal oil pressure is.

I didn't up my boost. It did it itself. I was just driving, I seen the warning light and I kept crusing and at about 2500rpm I had my normal full boost which seemed odd to me, so I hit the gas and the boost pulled all the way to 14 psi. I didn't do anything to it.

Kinda odd that his oil pressure more than doubled...

4.5 bar is about right, maybe a bit low, in terms of oil pressure when you rev high. 2 bar of oil pressure past 2-3k rpm is way too low.

You wouldn't happen to know the tech specs on the oil pressure. I'd like to take it to the shop and get a oil pressure test, but I'd need numbers to compare to.

Rule of thumb is 10 psi per 1000 rpm. If you rev it to 6500 rpm, you'd want 65 psi (4.5bar). Anything less than that is trouble brewin'.

My 26 gets about 80-90 PSI in the high revs. I think I read on here that 75-80 psi is standard for the 25.

Joe could probably answer in regards to the standard pressures, he had a 25 in his car.

That's about what I see in my RB25 too. 80psi under high revs, 20-24 psi at idle with hot oil.
