Hey guys, I'm trying to put together the oil feed line for my RB25. I am using a t3/to4e 57 trim turbo with a -1 fitting for the feed. I was told I need to find out the oil pressure of the RB25 to decide what the diameter of the oil feed should be. Is this correct? Basically what fitting do I need for the block, what size line and fitting on the line to the turbo will I need to create the right pressure for the turbo? I probably sound like a dumbass, but oh well.

This thread was helpfulhttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=312476

So I need something like this to plug into the block and connect to the line

and then a -1 fitting on the other end of the line that will plug into the turbo oil feed. but need to create the right pressure...

I had a thread on here some time ago asking the pitch of the block. I thought it was like 12mmx 1.25mm but i cant remember for sure. I'll see if its written on my fitting when I get home.

are you sure -1? i don't think -1 even exists.. maybe in specialty applications? that is a 1/16" hose. most oil feed lines are -3 or -4. you probably need something more like a -3 or -4. Probably -3 with no restrictor for a non ball bearing, and a -3 or -4 with restrictor for ball bearing. also keep in mind that once you have a line, the ends have to be the same. the line end size is determined by the size of the line itself. i think theres a place that sells lines that go from -3 on one end to -4 on the other but that is rare. usually you need adapters to change size.

This is what he told me but he is probably wrong. I just found the atpturbo sells pretty much every fitting you'll ever need and does custom lengths. So your saying is I'll need -3 or -4 line and a adapter to connect it to the block. Gomer, check if you would please, if not I can measure it out and where did you buy that fitting? Thanks

I use -3 for oil and -6 for water lines if I remember correctly. Thats a GT3076r turbo.

I've got -4 for oil feed with the restrictor supplied by Precision, no idea what size. -6 for coolant feed and return.

Running 15w40 Diesel Oil for break in I'm seeing 25-30psi after its warm at idle, 50 psi around 2-3 grand, after 3 grand were at like 65-70psi, and it doesn't go any higher from what I've been monitoring.

I expect the pressure to go down a little bit when I switch over to either 10w30 or 10w40 I haven't decided yet.
