Just wanted to lump this into one thread -

What oil pressure should a stock internal (thick head gasket, stock oil pump) RB25 be running?

Also what should the safe EGT range be? I have a gauge and really don't know where 'good' or 'bad' temps are. HKS 2835 turbo if that matters

what does your head gasket have to do with oil pressure?

as for numbers, you want idle? or while driving?

and EGT varies GREATLY on where the probe is placed.

I don't know why the head gasket would matter, I was just posting information in case it mattered. No harm in giving extra info

Numbers for oil pressure, both idle and driving

EGT gauge probe placed where the turbo bolts up on the turbo side not on the manifold side; stock manifold.

numbers for me as follows:rb20det using n1 oilpumpidle - 1.8 bar warm full load 6 bar; 20w50 oil

egt - ~500c* idle, full boost/load varies 800-875cprobe placed on manifold runner off of cylinder 6 approx 3" from head.

I have an rb25 and 500c seems really high at idle. My gauge is in fahrenheit but while crusing my egt temps are are at 975F = 524C. This is a 2400 to 3000 rpm cruse at about 45 to 50 mph. I thought mine was high??

My EGT sensor is about 1.5" from the flange face and here is the map watch during a logging session I did on the way home from work. The higher rpm cells are at part throttle, so yes I'm driving like a p****.

Is there any Calculation I can do to figure out the difference of temp before and after the turbo???

I'm currently running my EGT AFTER the turbo, about 4-5 inchs away from the turbo outlet.

yes...When I switch manifolds I'm gonna put it close to the head in the 6th runner. But I didn't want to drill into my egay manifold.I didn't have a backup before.

Now I have a different mani, I'm gonna brace up and face off each flange before installing.

EGT is pretty much worthless that far downstream.

My EGT probe was in the exhaust housing of the turbo and I was seeing about 900*c max at WOT, maybe 350*c at idle. Oil pressure should be around 2 bar at idle as mentioned above.
