Most people on here will say VG30Dett and it is. But my preference is a 2Jzgte. Also the Rb's will cost you much more money then a VG30dett or 2Jzgte.

2Jz is just as bad. That is a very long motor. There is a thread on 2ZC with someone putting in a 1JZ. He didn't modify his firewall/tunnel, but had to cut out the radiator support to mount the radiator.

I love the 1JZ/2JZ motor, very well built, solid motor. But, I wouldn't want to do the mods required to make it fit.

i know what u guys are saying,vg30dett is a potent motor but theres just one snag about it,the room to work on is very limited....if i had to put a 2jz in can i use my transmission? would prob have to modify the bell housing to fit the 2jz block, but can it handle the power??

I've never heard of anyone having problems with the trans while running in that range but that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

i don't think too many people here have attempted an rb or 2jz swap? please correct me if i'm wrong.
there's gotta be a gtr forum, regarding engine characteristics, etc.
