I have an Rb25 series 1 with an N60 maf. I have a SAFC2 set at 2 in and 4 out with the cal set at 2 and add.

I am getting continuity between all wires to their respected locations so I know it is not a wiring issue...but...the car is throwing a code 12 and code 41. It also will not rev past 2500rpm but otherwise runs fine.

any idea's?

Yes, The N60 is the purple labeled Maxima MAF.

I am picking up an N62 (Z32) MAF today.

I put an N62 MAF into the car and still the same issue. It will not rev past 2500 and I'm still getting a code 12 and 41.

are you positive you wired in the maf plug and the safc connections correctly?

+1....When the car doesn't rev about 2,500rpms (limp mode), that means the maf isn't connected properly in one way or another.

Yea, I'm 100% positive. I ran a totally new set of wires just to make sure and bypass the original wiring and still the same issue. Even with the SAFC bypassed, the ecu still throws a code 12 and 41.

The SAFC reads the proper voltage and everything, I even have the proper voltage at the ecu but it still throws the code

what is a code 41? air temp sensor? I thought rb25 did not have one...

well, I just found out that I have an RB26 ecu in the car...now wtf do I do?..lol... my ecu reads BV / 23710 - 05v62 / MEC - r282 / A1 / 3705

Well you need a RB25 ecu or a NA Z32/j30 ecu with nistune, or a twinturbo Z32 ecu- its close to working as is but should get a tune as well.

An Rb26 ecu doesn't have VTC, but does expect to see 2 mafs. Hence why it was cutting out. I didn't think it would run with a rb26 ecu on a rb25 harness....

Yep, your right, the ecu does not have VTC but...anything can be done with a little bit of know how. I am using an SAFC with a z32 MAF set and 2 in 3 out with the cal set at 1 and 1. The car runs fine but it still doesn't run perfectly...it is still looking for the intake temp sensor and I'm quite sure that is why it's still running a little rough.

I'm not driving the car hard until I have the right ecu for it. Right now it drives, boosts and everything with the 26 ecu just the idle is funky.

You need either an RB25DET ECU (for direct plug-and-play) , or either Nistune or an emulator board with a Z32 (VG30DE or DETT) or J30 ECU.
